SmartPrint™ Mobile Checker

The SmartPrint Mobile Checker is a wireless, hand-held unit used to
read data from contactless, secure personal identification (smart) cards. The Checker can read an individual's fingerprint and compare it to a compressed digital biometric profile stored on their card. The Checker then displays its data (the owner's name, identification number, and/or any other records) on its LCD display for a highly secure identification.

SmartPrint™ Sentry

The SmartPrint Sentry is a wall mounted fingerprint and smart card reader for physical access control. To regulate access, this intuitive verification device senses your finger and compares the reading to a compressed version of your fingerprint stored on a smart card. Totally compatible with your existing access control system, you can physically remove any proximity reader installed and replace it with the SmartPrint Sentry without your system ever noticing the change.

Police Department in India

Labcal Technologies Inc., a Quebec-based company delivering authentication solutions based on fingerprint, smart card and public key cryptography technologies, is proud to announce that its SmartPrint solution has been chosen by the Director General and Inspector General of Police, in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, in order to satisfy the need for a highly
secure time & attendance system.

Through its Indian affiliate, Labcal Biometric Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Labcal’s SmartPrint solution has already been installed and is being used at the office of the Director General and Inspector General of Police, in the city of Hyderabad. The solution deployed combines fingerprint-based biometric, smart card and PKI technologies. So far, of the 2,020 smart cards issued, some 300 employees have been using the time & attendance system for the past nine (9) months. Shortly, all 2,020 employees enrolled will be using the system.

The solution uses six (6) Labcal SmartPrint Sentry™ fingerprint and smart card readers, together with a time & attendance software application. The SmartPrint Sentry is a wall-mounted device, equipped with a fingerprint capacitive sensor that compares the reading of the user’s fingerprints with its biometric template previously stored in the user’s smart card. In 0.6 seconds, the authentication is processed. All activity logs, up to 30 000, are securely saved in the readers’ memory and transferred when needed to the administration.
