USB Readers

Eikon™ and TouchChip® USB Fingerprint Readers

UPEK's® USB fingerprint readers provide quick and reliable biometric authentication to desktop or network resources. They include cost effective Eikon swipe readers for home or office use, or larger TouchChip readers for multi-user applications.

UPEK's USB fingerprint readers use the same patented technology built into many of today's fingerprint-enabled notebook PC’s, as well as many mobile phones, keyboards, POS terminals, door locks, handheld ID terminals and more.

  • Single Sign On – replace multiple passwords for enterprise,
    financial and healthcare network users
  • VPN (Virtual Private Networks) – secure network access
    from remote locations
  • OTP (One-Time Passwords) – increase the security and convenience of using OTP, including support for RSA SecurID® and OATH
  • Windows® Logon – secure logon to Windows with the swipe of a finger
  • Protect Sensitive Data – protect access to personal, corporate and customer data
  • Privacy Protection – protect medical records, financial records and web transactions. Meet compliance objectives set forth by HIPAA, FFIEC, Sarbanes-Oxley and other government regulations
  • Convenient – UPEK USB fingerprint readers authenticate users with one quick swipe or touch of a finger.
  • Accurate – UPEK USB fingerprint readers use patented silicon-based active capacitive sensors for reliable biometric authentication:
    • Secure – protect access to only enrolled users
    • Tamper resistant – mitigate fraudulent use
  • Robust – UPEK's protective sensor coatings offer high ESD tolerance and proven durability for millions of user swipes or touches.
  • Ease of Integration – UPEK offers a choice of Software Development Kits (SDKs) that work with Eikon and TouchChip USB fingerprint readers. Independent software vendors, system integrators and other developers can easily integrate these USB readers into their applications.
